How does a fallback boot in a small diesel?
Single-cylinder Yanmar makes 4 1 / 2 power diesel engines, which supposedly may start with a recoil starter. How is that overcome compression, such as diesel engines have 15:1 to 25:1 compression ratios? Typical is about 500 pounds. To overcome this, it seems a stretch that would take more than a human can exert.
I do not know about the Yanmar,,,, but with small high-compression engines usually have a button on them relief. You push the button before you start … This does not allow compression until the fire of the cylinder. Since the fires, which closes.
