does art movement starting in place on the wheel and trying to do so from the engine, as has the art …… inside the home to move the flywheel … ….. I then withdraw the starter removed and tested auto shop and it works fine .. i reinstalled and the engine doesent turn on my … boot is mounted below the intake manifold and I can hear but does spining sound as if you are on the wheel … was outside the car when I could not move the gears up and down with a force with my fingers …… openers are made for LA Gear enag to move and then the wheel? What is the Bendix? Bendix also holds a mala (?) Gears does not move properly … still successfully pass a test machine shop car? 1995 children of Aurora
The shop, probably just checking to see if it is spun. The Bendix is the gear that moves in place on the wheel when it starts. They go bad a lot and has the exact symptoms you are describing. The Bendix works by centrifugal force and can stop smoking when the incumbent is weak. You can try to fix it, but the rest of the starter is probably old and too close, and rebuilds are not as expensive. You simply replace the pig and not have to worry about that again.
