What is a fuel cut off switch and I have to reboot?

I have a manual 93 Ford Escort 3-door and when I filled my tank and tried I started my car the "cut fuel" light went on the car struggled to start. When I tried to start again 30 minutes later, will not start. Battery seems fine. Is this a possible problem with the fuel pump? Should I do anything with the fuel cut off switch? Also what is a door fuel? Thank you!

In general, the switch does travel unless a car has been in an accident. It is used to cut off fuel to the engine to help to prevent fires in case of a serious accident. Have you been in an accident recently? It may not work properly on your own journey itself, and I guess, but all modes should not be a hidden door somewhere in your trunk with a small button that says fuel cut off. Press. If that doesn't help you probably have a bomb bad fuel.
